Oshkosh 2006 - Page 6 By Friday evening, the parking looked rather sparse.
About the accommodations: We stayed in the Audubon Inn in Mayville Wisconsin. This is the huge common area on the third floor, with a huge skylight and atrium. The hotel was originally built in 1896, and restored several years ago.
Huge custom stained glass windows are everywhere. This is looking down the atrium to through the stained glass ceiling of the restaurant/bar. The food was first class too, and not terribly expensive. Camping at Oshkosh is its own kind of fun, but this was very nice.
Time to go home:
The Continental Divide - East of Pagosa Springs Colorado.
Over the Painted Desert of Arizona, with Monsoon storms in the distance.
With rain on the windscreen, home in sight at the edge of a rain shower.
